Ten Rochester-area nonprofits are looking for financial support and some young professionals are looking to help out.
The two groups will come together during NextGen Rochester’s annual meeting, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Geva Theatre Center, 75 Woodbury Blvd. NextGen is comprised of young people, all who have contributed financial donations to benefit various groups.
During the meeting, nonprofits will present information about their groups to NextGen members, who’ll then help decide which causes to fund. NextGen members have contributed more than $20,000 to various organizations the previous two years.
Groups presenting this year include: Boys and Girls Clubs of Rochester, Bush Mango Drum and Dance, Hope Hall, Mount Hope Family Center, Junior Achievement of Rochester, Geva Theatre Center, Nativity Preparatory Academy, Rochester Hearing and Speech Center, Center for Teen Empowerment and Cameron Commuity Ministries.
